Our precious little boy

Sunday, August 17, 2008

At my last doctor's visit we were able to get another sonogram of our little man. The technician was so nice to let us see him in some 4D images and take some pictures for free. He is still so tiny just over one pound but growing and developing so quickly.

Sweet Face

He was not cooperating during his photo session. He kept turning his head away from the camera and putting his hands over his face.

It's a boy

Sorry for the delay in posting the latest events in our lives these last few months. Although most of you are aware by now we are thrilled to announce that we are expecting our first baby in December. We were able to find out when I was 19 weeks pregnant that we are having a baby BOY.

Here are a few pictures of my growing belly from the last few months...

Davy surprised me with a plane ticket to go and visit my sister and her family in Cary, North Carolina. Jen is due 10 days before me on November 30th. My mom was also in town helping
babysit JT while my sister and her husband unpacked their new home.

For those of you who may have not heard my nephew JT is going to be a big brother. My sister Jen is pregnant with baby #2. She is 7 weeks and 6 days pregnant today. We are so excited for them and can't wait to meet the new addition in November.

Easter Weekend

Saturday, April 5, 2008

Over Easter week and weekend we had both sides of our family come visit us in Birmingham in our new home. Davy's sister, Ashley and brother, Jason drove from Atlanta and Davy's parents drove from McComb, Mississippi. Davy's mom helped us decorate by purchasing several plants for our home. The plants on the porch are a few of them. The plants have helped to make our house much more homey. Hopefully I will be able to keep them alive!

Two handsome men ready for Easter Service!

JT was much more interested in eating dad's peanut butter toast than his breakfast.

My family picture right before we walked into church to hear Davy preach his first Easter Service.

What a beautiful family!

We're Homeowners

It's official, We're homeowners (well actually the bank owns it =)... Davy felt like he was going to throw up signing all the papers.

Camp Cosby

Saturday, February 23, 2008

We just returned from our church-wide retreat that Davy lead to cast and renew vision for our church. The retreat was held about 45 minutes away from Birmingham at a YMCA camp called Camp Cosby. Davy also had one of his friends from Georgia, Jamie Lambert, who is a youth pastor bring his youth group over to help led a camp for the children at our church so their parents could attend sessions without distractions. The retreat was a wonderful time for fellowship, fun and also planning for the future of Grace Church.

The Youth getting ready to eat lunch after playing Ultimate frisbee and not much sleep from the night before. I slept in the youth girls cabin and needless to say I did not get much sleep.

Davy had several games for the adults to play as well from his Camp Westminister days.

Sunday Morning Surprise

Sunday, February 3, 2008

Davy and I had a wonderful surprise this morning at church when Uncle Kenny, Aunt Bonnie, Mark and Kara came to Grace Presbyterian to worship with us. They had met their daughter, Lauren and her husband Josh, for dinner in Birmingham the night before and decided to stay for Sunday morning to hear Davy preach.

It is hard to believe that Davy has been the senior pastor at Grace for almost six months. I am so proud of him and continue to be so impressed by his ability to lead the church. The church is growing by several families each week and we feel so blessed to be apart of what God is doing in Chelsea, Alabama.
